Birthday, Birthday and more Birthday

The last week has been fun. My birthday is four days earlier than Frank's, so each year we celebrate together on whichever birthday is closest to the weekend. Saturday, my sister and I went for pedicures at a nail/spa. I'm hooked again. I haven't done a pedicure for several years.... really, haven't needed one since I have a husband who used to be a licensed massage therapist. So whenever I want an awesome footrub, he's always game to give it. But this place was awesome!!! Over an hour in length, with a good 15 minutes for the foot/leg massage and another 15 for a hot stone massage. Top it off with a hot steaming towel to wipe the oils off, and I was in heaven! Think I'll be heading back there once every month or two... the price was really good too! Same as what I've paid in the past at just a nail shop where the pedicure is over in 30 minutes and definitely doesn't do a massage like this!

That night, Frank and I went out for dinner at Saltgrass. My absolute favorite meal is a good prime rib and lobster tail, and Saltgrass is the place we go most often for these cravings. His brother John and his wife Jacque joined us, so it was a fun evening. We sat around bullshitting so long the owner had to come over and tell us to leave when they closed up for the night.

Today, we headed over to my sisters for some grilling and hanging with family. All in all, a very good weekend! :)

I find myself having a harder time trying to keep up with this personal blog, my photography blog, my website, and my facebook fan page... so I'm thinking of taking this one down and just making my photography blog and "all purpose" tool.... previews of photo shoots I do and photos/commentary on personal life events as well. Granted, it will be a bit more neutral and "clean" since it is tied to business, but I think it'll be easier overall to keep it updated regularly.

This week, I'll be trying to wrap up some wedding images from last weekend before I head back down to Austin this weekend for two shoots (if the "monsoon" season we're having lately finally ENDS!), but I've got some personal images from this weekend that I'll put up there once the wedding shots are done as well...
